Le Hérisson is a small independent nursery and preschool for children from 2-6 years.
In our happy, gentle but stimulating environment, we provide the opportunity for the youngest citizens of this world to be immersed in the French language.
At Le Hérisson School we understand the advantages of developing a second language in young children to give them opportunities and choices in life. The early years education at Le Hérisson is a balance between learning through play and, as the child progresses through the school, formal learning.
With a high adult to child ratio, we ensure that the children are getting not only the best possible care and attention at this important stage of their learning journey but they are also receiving excellent immersion in the French language.
We pride ourselves in offering an option of bilingual education for our youngest children (2-3 or 2-4 years). This incredible opportunity allows our families the option to further their child’s education in the French Maternelle curriculum by then moving on smoothly to the French system of education either locally or further afield. Equally, we are able to support and guide families who wish to follow the British system of education in local prep or state schools.
Le Hérisson School is the first step on the international education ladder for children of the future.
I look forward to welcoming you to Le Hérisson and showing you the opportunities we offer.
“I would like to thank you and the staff at Le Hérisson school for giving (our son) a fantastic 4 years of education and discovery. My wife and I are thankful to the high educational standard the school has.”
